Hello my name is Chuck
Marchetti and I am from Sterling Heights, MI... I've been an avid
photographer since 1972 when I bought my first 35mm camera. I was so
hooked by this new hobby, I built my own darkroom and began processing my
own photos. After some time, I decided to make a go at doing this
professionally by shooting weddings, special events and portraits.
This was quite lucrative, however it limited my creativity. I decided
to go back to using photography as a hobby and found it much more enjoyable.
Soon after, I found my niche and began spending a lot of time at local zoos
to photograph animals. Over the years, I evolved with technology and
am now using a digital camera. I started with a Nikon CP950,
eventually upgraded to an Olympus C2100UZ and more recently added an Olympus
E-20. I really liked the Olympus camera but decided to "kick it up a
notch" and traded them in for Canon EOS D60 giving me the flexibility of
using exchangeable lenses (not to mention the 6 megapixels.) Then,
less than a year later, Canon introduced the EOS D20 (an 8 megapixel
camera). Needless to say, I sold the D60 and upgraded to the 20D which
I still use today.
Enjoy your visit here and
